Mentoring

I enjoy helping people develop and have a depth of experience as a coach or mentor. Outside the workplace I spent over ten years as a qualified Amateur Fencing Coach during which time I coached children and adults.

In professional terms I have set up several mentoring groups within my old organisation, targeted predominantly at new or aspiring Business Analysts which provided a sense of community and continuity to people embarking on their careers. I also have experience of people management so can offer observations from that perspective.

I can offer mentoring on specific subjects such as:

  • Business Analysis Techniques
  • Interpersonal skills
  • Interview preparation
  • Presentation and communication skills

If you are interested in exploring the benefits a mentoring relationship could bring you then please contact me for a free introductory 30 minute session via Zoom or Teams. During this session we can discuss your situation and needs and determine whether I can assist you. If we agree to proceed we can then determine the frequency of our meetings and when we expect any specific objectives to be met.

To help get the best value from the introductory session it may help you to consider:

  • What you feel you need mentoring on and why?
  • is it a specific topic?
  • Or is it more generic career advice?
  • How long you anticipate the mentoring relationship lasting? i.e. do you have a set deadline for an interview etc?
  • desired frequency of sessions
  • how will we know when we’re done?

Once we establish a mentoring arrangement sessions will be 50 minutes in duration and I charge £45 per session. Please contact me using the box below to arrange a free initial 30 minute session.
